Free-flow Creativity workshops to improve mood and combat feelings like isolation, stress, anger, disconnection, loss, etc.
It’s natural to experience isolation or negative stress when we’re sick, have poor mental health, are homebound, grieving, socially excluded, recovering from trauma, dealing with chronic pain, injured, out of our routine, caring, etc.
Stress responses are triggered when our brain registers that we’re in danger. So, of course, we experience more unhealthy levels when we’re not 100%. We can’t just ‘get rid of’ the hormones and thoughts that come with stress, but there are ways we can help, and creativity is one of them!
Prevention is better than cure, so rather than waiting for stress and negative feelings to take root, Tea Breaks immersive creativity teaches your communities healthy outlets for exploring feelings and spaces to shimmy away from the norm and play.

Q. Are these art workshops?
A. Yeah, kind of, except I (Alice) am not a ‘trained’ artist. I’m a regular muggle that uses creativity to look after my wellbeing. While you might feel very arty in these sessions, the aim isn’t to master our art skills. Instead, it’s about mastering being present in the process of creating.
🧊
Q. How can we divide the time?
A. We agree this in our 30-minute intro call.
Option 1: 2 x 60-minute bi-weekly practices per month, for 3 months.
Option 2: 4 x 30-minute weekly practices per month, for 3 months.
This is the standard package, but if you need something different for your team, we can explore options.

Q. You’re based in Slovenia. Can you host workshops in other countries?
A. For one-off facilitation 100%, check the banner ‘Guest Facilitator’ and let’s get in touch. For 3-month retainers, online is our vehicle to creativity. But never fear! I bring a lot of magic even through then screen, making sessions aesthetically rich and intriguing.

Q. My group are not necessarily creative. Will this work for us?
A. YES! I give you easy-to-follow instructions for every exercise, so you’re in safe hands (and more experienced than you know!). The purpose of my workshops is to uncover the innate creativity in all of us. This is empowering and part of the magic of creativity.
🧊
Q. My group are professional artists. Will this work for us?
A. YES! We all need support and to mix-up the routine at times. The free-flow nature of these workshops makes them like a fitness class for your imagination, so you should leave feeling rejuvenated and full of new ideas. It’s good to create outside of your usual remit to stimulate innovative thoughts and bring new purpose to your space.
🧊
Q. Is it compulsory to share what participants write/draw/collage/etc.?
A. No. Absolutely not. I will always ask people to share their thoughts because this is a space to grow and communicate. But you share your creations as and when you feel.
🧊
Q. When we write, does it have to be in English?
A. Nope. Workshops are hosted in English, but write in the language that feels natural to your creativity. Having said that, you should feel comfortable and confident with English in order to enjoy yourself and discuss your ideas.
There are times where we give each other words from our writing, and this should be in English, but you can quickly translate them and crack on.
🧊
Q. Can you help us establish an independent creative routine?
A. Of course. It can be really hard finding the right time and methods that work for you. Team Well-being is tailor-made for your group, so we can integrate creative routines into our time together.

Q. Are these workshops appropriate for big groups?
When working with support groups, I am always thinking about deeper connections, building confidence, and allowing space to talk, so I limit the size of these groups. A group of 5 to 10 is optimum because it provides more intimate, focussed, and supported practice.
Working with support groups is really important to me. My dad had bone marrow cancer and sadly passed away in 2013. My mum (pictured with me above) was his primary carer. Then and now, she suffers from chronic pain and migraines, so I know first-hand some of the struggles illness, care and chronic pain can bring. I also experienced just 2 weeks of hospitalisation and poetry saw me through that time – not everyone knows how to access creative support, but when guided, I believe it benefits us all in these trying times.
I harness the power of creativity to elevate mood and help through dark times and guide others to access this too.
When we’re vulnerable, it’s important to take extra care of our wellbeing.
Everyone knows this, but we don’t necessarily find the time or energy to prioritise accordingly. I show groups how to establish a creative routine that holds your hand through the highs and the lows.
