As adults, we hustle, push, stress, worry, get busy brains, get obsessive about unimportant things.
Creativity helps you return to source, to your rest and digest, to stillness, to yourself.
Imagine having a habit that you do daily, without guilt or challenge, that allows you quieten the internal chatter, move into the moment, and feel more optimistic.
That’s creative self-care.
We often stop being creative after we leave school and start the journey of embedding neural pathways that are automatic and laced with negative bias. This keeps us doing the same things, in the same way, and often trapped in the same emotions. But creativity keeps you open minded, flexible to the world, and innovative in the way you approach yourself and daily challenges.
You don’t need a lot of time or resources. Creative self-care can be anything from dancing to painting to nature walks to playing an instrument. And Creative Tea Breaks is here to cheer you on on your journey to reclaiming your creativity and unlocking a better life with it.
Teacher, multidisciplinary artist, facilitator, silly billy, and advocate for creative self-care and rest.
Working with me looks like:
✨ playing in creativity,
✨ releasing intentions to be good or perfect,
✨ doing things differently,
✨ allowing yourself to be bad and giving it a go anyway,
✨ slowing down with meditation and body scans,
✨ visualising and connecting with your inner world,
✨ and regularly checking in with what’s going on in the present moment.
It’s a lot of fun! But it’s also a challenge, inviting you to release and rewire embedded habits and thoughts, to shed the parts of you that feel restricted, small or heavy, to tend to what you desire most, to give yourself permission to live a life you choose, and allowing you to move into a more compassionate and free way of doing things.
❌ Stop going through the numbing motions of work, TV, scrolling, shopping, fitness, repeat, repeat.
✅ Start being more present, more you, more free to live your one precious life freely.
Creative self-care isn’t cute or a luxury—it’s essential maintenance to help you live well.
If you feel that humming resonance in your body, you’re in the right place!
